Joshua Oppenheimer's stunning new documentary The Act of Killing opens today at FACT and we are delighted to be hosting a Q&A with the Director in collaboration with Liverpool Amnesty for a special extended cut screening on Wednesday 3 July.

The documentary charts the legacy of genocide in Indonesia by having the perpetrators re-enact their killings in the style of their favourite Hollywood movies. It has won awards around the globe, and is currently receiving glowing reviews

"First, the film beggars belief. Then it sends belief running into the hills, screaming for help and understanding." Nigel Andrews, Financial Times

"You may need a stiff drink and a lie down afterwards." Mark Stafford, Electric Sheep

"One of this decade's most important and most harrowing documentaries, The Act of Killing is a shattering take on the nature of evil." Jason Gorber, Twitch
