Hacky Birthday: Cake design winner
19 February 2013
Hacky Birthday celebrates the tenth anniversary of the opening of our iconic Wood Street home. This Saturday we've got a day of cake, technology, art, music and workshops throughout the building from 12pm - 7pm. A full schedule and more information is available in the Hacky Birthday project page.
The winning cake design is from 11 year old Gabriel Mendez-Bellard who has been inspired by the 2012 Robots & Avatars exhibition with her giant robot chocolate cake. The cake is being made right now by The Liverpool Cake Shop and will be unveiled on the day by the winning designer herself!
The competition's runners up are Thea Youngman and Amy Scott. Their designs have inspired 100 cupcakes which will be available to the public to enjoy on the day.
The cakes will be revealed at 2:45pm, but the full day of Hacky Birthday activities run from 12 - 7:45pm
