14 September 2012

If you're 19 or under, and you'd like the chance for your film to be seen on the big screen at FACT, here's your chance - and you now have until Tuesday, September 25 to enter.

YLFN is the annual film competition for young filmmaking talent in Merseyside run by Freehand, FACT's young people's programme.

Freehand members watch all the films and create a shortlist that they think showcases the young talent of this region. These shortlisted films are shown at FACT at a brilliant event that encompasses film, performance and fun!

This year, Freehand is asking for films that relate to the theme of The Unexpected Guest, which is the title of Liverpool Biennial 2012. The Freehanders interpreted this theme as something of an eerie title, and with that in mind have decided they wanted to make FACT into a haunted hotel for the event on October 23.

Films must be ten minutes in length or less, and must have been made in the last year.

We want as many films as we can get so please make sure you get yours in! For more details and a submission form, please click here. Good luck!
