Brave has all the makings of a traditional fairytale - the green rolling hills of a far away land (Scotland!), a princess, evil curses and a big bad bear. But this time, the tale has been twisted with an added sprinkle of the unconventional fairy dust that we have come to know and love from Pixar.

The film stars Pixar's first female lead, Princess Merida who prefers the action of archery and horse riding to being a well behaved princess in the royal court. Her world gets turned upside down when she is offered up for marriage to the oldest son of a local clan leader. This isn't how Merida imagines her life panning out, so she strops off in a way that only a teenager can, determined to put a spanner in the works of the marriage plans.

She makes a wish with a wise old woman, which is unfortunately not the wisest decision as she quickly realises that everyone she now holds dear are in danger. A dark curse is unleashed and she must do everything in her power to put a stop to it and restore harmony in the land.

Brave is voiced by an all-star cast including Julie Walters and Robbie Coltrane and has been described as a "living breathing pastel painting" by the Guardian, making it a film not to be missed by animation fans of all ages. We are pleased to be showing the film both in 2D and 3D. You can buy tickets on our website, by calling 0871 902 5737 or from the Box Office.
