Continuing its partnership with the Liverpool Arabic Arts Festival, the Arab Film Festival (AAF) - the only UK film festival programme of its kind - returns for its second edition between 6 and 12 July.

This year's festival is focused on emerging creative talent working in the region, showcasing the work of the filmmakers who will put Arab cinema on the international map.

I Want To See / Je Veux Voir will kick off tomorrow's special pre-launch event at 6.30pm. It received a four star review from Guardian film critic, Peter Bradshaw who describes it as "a potent and intriguing cinema of ideas"  and it also stars the mesmerising Catherine Deneuve who journeys across a war-torn Lebanon. Two very good reasons not to miss out!

Following Je Veux Voir will be the Oscar Nominated Canadian film Incendies at 8pm. Set in both Canada and the Middle East, the film deals with the aftermath of conflict by exploring family ties and duty.

You can find out more about AAF or book your tickets online. Tickets can also be booked at the box office or by calling 0871 902 5737.
