Last year FACT - in collaboration with the Liverpool Arabic Arts Festival - launched the UK's first regular Arab Film Festival, securing positive reviews from press and audiences. The festival returns in July 2012, and this year invites submissions from Arab filmmakers and producers from across the Arab world and its diaspora.

If you are a filmmaker or producer who has produced a film after 1 January 2008 and your film bears a strong connection with or to the Arab world, then we would love to hear from you!

Each applicant is welcome to submit up to two films for consideration to the festival programme. Please submit the work that you feel most proud of.

The film may be a work of fiction, documentary, and can be either feature-length or short or experimental film.

  2. Filmmaker/producer's full contact details
  3. 250-word synopsis of each film project
  4. Filmmaker biography
  5. DVD or web link of the film(s) to be considered for selection
