The film brings the band’s story to life through a stunning combination of rare and unseen archive footage of Mott the Hoople behind the scenes that really does show what a fantastic live band they were.

George Harrison: Living in the Material World
Sunday 9 October
7.45pm

\r\n

This is our last showing of George Harrison: Living in the Material World after it had its world premiere last week at FACT.  It’s had great reviews, and has even brought some of the staff here at FACT to tears (but in a good way).

\r\n

The latest film from Scorsese, this rock doc follows the spiritual path taken by one of the world’s greatest guitarists, former Beatle George Harrison. With never-seen-before footage, letters and interviews with some of his closest friends and past collaborators, Living in the Material World is an unmissable insight into the life of a true musical icon, from his childhood in Liverpool to Beatle-mania and his life-changing travels to India.

Pearl Jam Twenty
Tuesday 11 October
9pm

\r\n

This film was added to our film programme after completely selling out the first time it was shown. From director, Cameron Crowe, Pearl Jam Twenty tells the story of the band and their career. Carved from over 1,200 hours of rarely seen and never-before-seen footage plus 24 hours of recently shot footage – concert, verité and interview – this film is the definitive portrait of Pearl Jam. What results is part concert film, part insider-hang, part testimonial to the power of music and these uncompromising artists.
