The Film London Jarman Award is an annual prize inspired by one of Britain's most innovative, esteemed and controversial artists of the late 20th century, Derek Jarman.

launched in 2008, the award celebrates the experimentation, innovation and excellence of UK filmmakers and the nominees have been shortlisted by experts in the field including Stuart Comer, Film Curator at Tate Modern,  Sandra Hebron, Artistic Director of BFI London Film Festival and Iwona Blazwick, Director at Whitechapel Gallery. 

Tonight, FACT will be the first and one of only four venues across the UK which the short list will be touring to. the event will feature a showcase of the shortlisted artist's work including Liverpool's very own Imogen Stidworthy who's solo show has recently finished at Matt's Gallery in London. Imogen will be joining other artists and curators to introduce the screenings.
