Family Workshop

\r\n

Sunday 28 August

\r\n

12pm - 4pm

\r\n

FREE, just drop in

\r\n

\r\n

A scientific experiment to blow the American Science Fairs out of the water (or out of the volcano??), we need your help to build the giant volcano, Mt FACTO in the FACT foyer on the 28 August.

\r\n

\r\n

From working with Pleasant Street Primary School on the ScienceFun Fair, we discovered different ways of making eruptions, some of which we couldn’t show off in the Media Lounge, as it would soon get a sticky ceiling!

\r\n

\r\n

As well as trying your hand at volcano manufacturing, you can also get involved in making scenery. An eruption is no fun if there isn’t anything to cover in goo! We have one afternoon to have a go at these large and messy experiments and everyone is welcome to get involved.

\r\n

\r\n

You can drop in any time between 12pm and 4pm, and watch out at 4 ….. there may be some explosions!!

\r\n

\r\n

The workshop will be documented to create a film that you will be able to see here afterwards. For more information about the workshop, get in touch with Anna Kronenburg, our Schools and Learning Coordinator via anna.kronenburg@fact.co.uk / 0151-707-4417.
