This Friday’s screening of Powder is the faux-documentary’s second time at FACT after selling out at its world premiere as part of Liverpool Sound City back in May.

\r\n

Based on the best-selling novel by Liverpool’s Kevin Sampson and influenced by Kevins’ experience of managing local band, The Farm, Powder follows the journey of fictional down and out band The Grams as they go for their once last chance to make it big. Filmed on location in Merseyside, you will be able to spot local haunts and The Grams set at V Festival last year.

\r\n

The first screening on Friday 02 September at 8.30pm will be accompanied by a Q&A with Kevin as well as the star of the film, Liam Boyle and co-stars Jo Woodcock and former members of The Rascals, Joe Edwards and Greg Mighall.

\r\n

The second screening of Powder will take place on Sunday 04 September at 4pm and will be accompanied by an acoustic set from James Walsh, the musician behind the music of The Grams.
