"On July 23rd, myself and 4 other adventurers are embarking on a 10,000 mile trip to Ulaan Baatar, the capital of Mongolia. We're doing this epic journey in a retired ambulance that has been donated to us by Reliance Care Services and then fully serviced, repaired and upgraded by Renault UK. The ambulance will be handed over to be used in parts of Mongolia that desperately need vehicles such as ours. Alongside this we're raising money and awareness for fantastic Breakthrough Breast Cancer, who are one of the UK's biggest breast cancer research charities with some of the most amazing facilities in Europe.

The trip itself covers some of the worlds most hostile environments. Deserts, mountain ranges, terrible roads and no roads at all, we're relying on basic maps and compass for large portions of the trip. These environments are hostile for numerous reasons, varying extreme weather conditions, all manor of hazardous wildlife and utterly terrible terrain that could severely wound our beloved vehicle at any point. For peace of mind however, we're looking for a company or individual to sponsor us in getting hold of a fantastic bit of kit called a Spot Connect. The Spot Connect will allow us to send our GPS position anywhere in the world and also allow people to watch our progress live on the internet. It also allows us to send an SOS message and mobilize local authorities to within 10m of our position which is simply incredible.

The Spot Connect will also allow us to send messages to our social media feeds through our iPhone. Our Twitter and Facebook feeds are massively important to us, interacting with our friends, family, supporters, sponsors, charities is all part of our journey.

So if you think you can help us get hold of this amazing bit of kit (they retail about £180) or you'd just like to , we can offer you a ton of cool stuff in return take a look at the sponsor page on our website for more information and you can contact me direct at this address: matt@mongolia5.com"
