Point Blank is a seriously fast-paced, French thriller with a Hollywood twist. The film follows nursing assistant Samuel (Lellouche from our recent favourite film, Little White Lies), whose pregnant wife gets kidnapped as collateral after he sees a gangster attempt to whack Sartet, a patient under police custody in his hospital.

The kidnappers give Samuel three hours to meet their demand of sneaking Sartet out of the hospital which is no mean feat when he is one of France’s most wanted men. What results is a situation where Samuel is wanted by both cops and robbers and ends up on the run whilst trying to get his wife back.

Directed by Fred Cavayé (Anything For Her), Point Blank has had great reviews so far with Little White Lies giving it their stamp of approval by saying, “the greatest compliment you can pay Point Blank is that it not only matches Hollywood’s best thrillers, it outstrips them. It’s that good”.
