The Last Man on Earth

May 2011 sees the 100th birthday of screen legend Vincent Price and to help mark the occasion, Animat will be performing live very own soundtrack to The Last Man on Earth at FACT.
Animat have been around since 2004 creating down-tempo atmospheric beats (think Bonobo meets Flying Lotus) and are a collaboration between Michael Harding (The Only Michael) and Mark Daly (Soyo). Their creation of The Last Man on Earth soundtrack uses a mixture of original material from the 1964 original with their own DJ archive. Animat have already built up a national reputation for their innovative re-scores which have included Belleville Rendezvous, Tuvalu and The Straight Story and are only performing this soundtrack in six different locations across the UK.
