11 May 2011

This week as part of Knowledge Lives Everywhere, artist and activist Nina Edge is taking over Gallery 2 with The Art of Influence. Nina is bringing 34 people into FACT who are all influential in their own way to show just how people can make an impact.

The Art of Influence is all about the power of people to make an impact. Each day has a different theme such as the power of peers, the power of print, the power of celebrating positive experiences. There really is something for everyone who wants to discover how they can best use the power within their lives.

Throughout the week there will be the chance to meet local powerful people. Radical bookshop, News From Nowhere will be in residence on the 12 May and Visual Stress on the 15 May. Visual Stress formed 23 years ago from a group of Liverpool creatives who came together to develop a series of provocative street interventions, which went beyond art or protest.

If the power of sound is more your thing, then on the 18 May in the Media Lounge there will be sound installations, sound performance and sound-led discussion hosted by Liverpool Uni.
