Ruth and Joe often work with musicians and scientists to make their moving image, sound and multimedia installations, which are inspired by the natural world and our planet’s ever-changing landscapes.

\r\n

Their exhibition at FACT will include a major new commission exploring the volcanic terrain and unique geology of the Galapagos Islands. Passing through lava landscapes, rocks and minerals, the vast three-screen installation delves into the worlds of science and science fiction. Meanwhile, a set of unique animations depict the other-worldly and colourful mineral crystals found in volcanic matter.
