Over twice as many artists are taking part in the second James William Carling Pavement Art Competition since the last time in 2008 (over 30 artists, locally and from all corners of the UK).
Some of the world’s top Madonnari (pavement artists) from Italy, Nederland’s and France will also be getting involved.

To see so many talented, top screevers in one place will be a very special treat..... This kind of thing is the norm in Italy, USA, and Germany where pavement art is well established and respected as an art form in its own right.

One of the international contributors is Antonio Cammarano, award winning artist from Saronno, Italy and member of the European association of Madonnari. You can see more examples of his work here.

You can vote for your favourite artist throughout the day and he or she can win over £150 worth of art materials in the Peoples Prize award. If you think you know a budding artist of the future, they are invited to join the James Carling LITTLE CHALKERS Pavement Art Award with great prizes to be won in three age categories.

The competitions have all been supported by Liverpool BID.
