10 March 2010

From 15 March - 10 April 2010 AND festival abandons the city and heads for the hills to visit a series of remote and rural locations in Cumbria, Lancashire and online presented by folly. Expect strange playful and radical interventions across the Northwest’s stunning landscape as a host of artists, scientists and designers map the region and challenge us to question our relationship with nature and technology, food and health, work and play.

Highlights include:
Zoe Papadopoulou and Catherine Kramer's Cloud Project - a unique art and science experiment that will tour across the region in an ice-cream van. Cat and Zoe will be serving nano ice-cream, creating strawberry flavoured clouds and exploring developments in nanotechnology.

Forkbeard Fantasy's comedy thriller The Colour of Nonsense - a tale of a priceless piece of art and the mayhem which follows its theft that mixes visual trickery, film and outlandish storylines.

Fake Moon by Simon Faithfull - for 2 nights only visitors to Preston will be bathed in the fake moonlight of a strange apparition. The event is weather dependent.
