15 February 2010

This is the first of a planned weekly update looking at what we have coming up during the coming week here at FACT. This is the final week of our current exhibition, but far from winding down we still have some exciting events going on.

Tomorrow night we're hosting a gaming party in The Box from 5pm. It's free to come along and we'll be providing pizzas and prizes for participants. Street Fighter 2 and Guitar Hero will be making an appearance, but visitors are also invited to bring in their own X Box games to play.

On Wednesday, we are screening the Disney cult-classic TRON. The event has sold out but we're looking at the possibility of switching it from The Box to one of the Big Screens It may not be possible, but if it is we'll put an update on the News section of the website and message confirmed and possible attendees on the Facebook event group.

Friday and Saturday are the last days that Rider Spoke is running. The activity combines theatre with game play and state of the art technology as participants cycle around the city listening to stories and recording to their own.

From next week we'll be deinstalling the exhibition and readying ourselves for MyWar - an exhibition that will take a radically personal look at war in the digital age.
