FACT staffer wins place on Cultural leadership Programme
17 April 2009
FACT's Head of Programme Delivery, Nick Lawrenson has secured a place on LARC's (Liverpool Arts Regeneration Consortium) Successor Leadership Programme.
The programme offers emerging leaders in the cultural sector in the Liverpool City Region to participate in a special programme devised by Common Purpose. This was first offered in 2007, through Arts Council England's Cultural Leadership Programme, and was well received by participants from a range of cultural organisations.
The five-day customised programme for 25 professionals in the arts in Liverpool, which will run from May to July 2009 aims to build a network of 'next generation' leaders in the arts and culture world in Liverpool, develop participants' understanding and awareness of leadership in different contexts, develop their own aspirations as leaders in the arts and build their awareness of key issues, agencies and leading players influencing the city's development such as regeneration, culture and the political backdrop.
A panel of LARC Chief Executives allocated the free places on the basis of written applications.
