The first nomination is for Pinnacle Man, a slick and gripping sci-fi film set in Liverpool 2081. Pinnacle Man was directed by Joseph Oliveira, Frances Mitchell and Mike Donaghy. As part of the 'Best Thriller' category, they will be judged by Daniel Craig (Quantum of Solace), Ed Hogg (White Lightnin') and David Harewood (Blood Diamond). The group are up against two other nominated films from Swindon and Luton.

FACT's second nomination is for W.I.L.D, a sci-fi thriller with incredible special effects and acrobatic fight scenes, directed by Terence Cheung. W.I.L.D is the first of two films in the 'Best Film By Over 13s' category, sponsored by HBO. They will both be judged by Nicholas Holt (Skins), Sienna Miller (Factory Girl), Kate Beckinsale (Pearl Harbour) and Maxine Peake (Little Dorrit).
