Hollywood star and FACT patron films new movie in Liverpool

The movie, due to be released Spring/Summer 2008, when Liverpool is European Capital of Culture. The film tells the story of a London boy who falls in love with a Liverpool girl and is shot at various locations across the city including FACT (see right), Crosby Beach and The Slaughterhouse, one of the city centre's oldest pubs.
Morrissey, who starred in Hollywood blockbuster Basic Instinct and Captain Corelli's Mandolin, as well as hit TV programmes including Cape Wrath, Blackpool and the upcoming Sense and Sensibility, has been a FACT Patron since 2002, before the organisation's multi million pound art centre on Wood Street opened the following year. He describes Liverpool as a "great filmic city."
