Demand for the tickets was high, with fans of the Oscar winning director waiting in line up to two hours before the tickets went on sale at midday. One woman, who came prepared to wait with a newspaper as she waited told reporters at FACT she was excited because, as a filmmaker herself she had huge respect for Tarantino's work and if she got a ticket, she'd ask him for any advice.

Best known for 1994's Pulp Fiction which won an Oscar for Best Screenplay, and nominations for Best Director and Best Picture, the iconic Tarantino has directed a catalogue of classic movies over the last decade, including Reservoir Dogs (1992), Jackie Brown (1997), and Kill Bill Vol 1 & 2 (2003/4).Those lucky enough to have tickets will watch Tarantino's Death Proof ahead of the Q&A at 8.00pm Tuesday 11 September.Death Proof will be on general release in the UK on 21 September 2007.
