FACT's two gallery spaces present newly commissioned work - or projects that are new to UK audiences - by internationally significant artists working in film, video and new media. There are also presentations of work highlighting new developments in video and new media art alongside key historical works.

Picturehouse at FACT hosts the very best cinema from around the world in its three state-of-the-art screens. The Box presents film and video programmes as well as acting as transmission studio for FACT's online TV channel and hosting regular sound and music events.

The Media Lounge is a flexible, curated space for interactive projects, and is sometimes used as an interpretation space during exhibitions.
