We are a registered charity and receive core support from the Arts Council England and the Liverpool City Council. However we would not be able to offer our full programme of work in all its richness without the support of forward-thinking organisations and individuals. We rely on the support of a range of funding bodies, trusts and foundations, corporate members and individuals to continue our work. Our supporters help FACT in many different ways.
Community, Education and Young People
Working across some of the most economically and socially deprived areas of Liverpool, FACT runs a dynamic and award-winning community, education and young people’s programme.
Each year we offer exciting opportunities for thousands of young people, older people, ex-service people and schoolchildren from all backgrounds to:
- engage with and learn about digital art, inspiring a lifelong relationship with the visual arts
- develop digital and media skills to give them access to a new world of opportunity
- develop personal and social skills
Supporting new and emerging artists
As well as showcasing film, video and new media art works from internationally renowned artists, FACT supports new emerging artists through our exhibition programme, residencies and research. In the past we have given major solo exhibitions to then emerging and now world-renowned international artists including Turner Prize nominated filmmaker and artist Isaac Julien, Pipilotti Rist and 2010 Palme d'Or winner Apichatpong Weerasethakul.

Supporting our Community Programmes
Our innovative community programmes are unique and have a genuine impact on the people of Liverpool, a city ranked as the most deprived local authority area in England on the 2010 Indices of Deprivation and with 61.9% of its Lower Super Output Areas in the nation's most deprived 10%.
Our rich community programme is always evolving to meet the most pressing needs of around us and we will work with you to identify the programme that best meets your CSR objectives.
During our 24 year history, we have commissioned and presented more than 350 digital and new media artworks, from pioneers including Nam June Paik, Pipilotti Rist and Isaac Julien to emerging and mid-career artists.
FACT exhibitions tour all over the world, from Canada to China, and our commissions regularly win major international awards, including artist/filmmaker Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s Palme d’Or for his film Uncle Boonme Who Can Recall His Past Lives.
Featuring the latest technological innovations, FACT exhibition offer a unique potential to showcase new products, whether in on-gallery launch events or, where appropriate, as part of the exhibition itself. The multi-use nature of FACT, and the accessible themes of many of our exhibitions, including 2013’s The Art of Pop Video, mean that our galleries attract a wider audience than a traditional contemporary art gallery, exposing your brand to a more diverse group of potential consumers. Past sponsors have included Samsung, who supported Nam June Paik in 2010.
Raising the profile of your brand
FACT is a well-known and well-loved brand in Liverpool and beyond, offering companies opportunities to raise their profile with audiences identified by our audience research as culturally informed and educated (over half describing themselves as either ‘Wealthy Achievers’ or ‘Comfortably Off,’ and 25% classifying themselves as urban professionals).
A key partner in the Liverpool Biennial, the UK’s contemporary art biennial, and a lead on the Abandon Normal Devices festival, FACT has a long history of city-wide collaboration with organisations as diverse as DaDa (Disability and Deaf Arts), Liverpool Arabic Arts Festival and Pride Liverpool. FACT is part of an international network of cultural organisations and media art centres, with partners including Tate Liverpool, Haus Der Kunst, Munich and Musee d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris.
Our high-ranking website and extensive Twitter and Facebook followings ensure that our work is recognised at every level. FACT has 25,900 Twitter followers and 8,090 Facebook Likes, both double that of the majority of Liverpool’s top cultural venues, and a strong relationship with the press. 95% of our exhibitions receive national broadsheet and broadcast coverage with recent major coverage including The Telegraph, Guardian and BBC 6 Music and BBC Northwest Tonight
A partnership with FACT will give your company the opportunity to benefit from our high profile with influencers and consumers, whilst identifying with a cutting edge, contemporary brand that enriches and changes lives.
