Are you interested in the relationship between art and health?
FACT's Healthy Spaces programme is series of commissions and projects produced by FACT, working in partnership with artists, health organisations, the private sector, Liverpool City Council and Liverpool PCT, the Healthy Spaces programme reflect the Five Ways to Wellbeing.
FACT believes artists can play an intrinsic role in the creation of healthy spaces using digital arts and new media. We believe through artist interventions we can encourage health and wellbeing within spaces - this could be physical, imaginary or emotional.
There are a number of ways which we deliver this work; through artwork commissions for waiting rooms, in-hospital commissions, participatory projects and online resources.
We are currently expanding our Health programme and will be looking in particular at Mental Health and working alongside prisons and addiction services. If you are a professional working on one of these areas and would like to get involved, please get in touch.
“FACT are a great organisation to work alongside on creative and innovative health projects, they offer us as a secondary mental health trust a truly innovative way to engage with our young people accessing services to further develop skills, knowledge and confidence.“ Nicky Fearon, Merseycare
