Volunteer Olivia

The Gallery Volunteer role includes supervising the gallery spaces, talking to the public about the art we show and making sure everyone gets as much from the exciting work on offer as possible.

Our visitors come from all over the world; some are families, some are artists and gallery professionals, some are corporate visitors, they are all ages and backgrounds. We're looking for a diverse range of people to welcome them, so if you like art, technology and people, the role is for you.

The galleries open Tuesday - Sunday each week (and Mondays throughout Liverpool Biennial 2016), with morning and afternoon volunteer sessions available, as well as the occasional special evening event.

It’s a great way to meet people, learn about art and enhance your CV, so get in touch if you’d like to be part of our team.

We are currently recruiting volunteers to help present our next exhibition.

Contact us at volunteer@fact.co.uk or on 0151 707 4444 to get involved.

Are you interested in gaining invaluable experience in a leading arts organisation? FACT gives bright and enthusiastic people the opportunity to work in contemporary arts and creative media.

We offer a diverse range of placements within FACT departments, including the Programme, Media Services, Front of House and Marketing teams. Internships normally run for six to 12 weeks and expenses will be covered.

We feel that interns should gain valuable, meaningful experience from their time with us and so we do not offer general internship places. Each department, however, occasionally has projects which would suit an internship and so we recruit specifically for those as and when they arise.

All of our internships are advertised on this page so keep checking back regularly. You can also learn of any opportunities through our Facebook and Twitter accounts.

FACT offers work experience placements to students at school, college and university. Doing your work experience here gives you a chance to observe the organisation on a day-to-day basis and start to appreciate the structure of a typical working week, and what goes on behind the scenes!

So that we can offer the best experience possible, we limit the amount of placements we can offer. This ensures that you will have enough work to keep youoccupied, and be able to engage properly with FACT as an organisation during your time.

If you are a student and you'd like to carry out your work experience at FACT, then please contact us with the following information:

  • dates of your placement
  • length of your placement
  • the name of your school, college or university
  • a short statement about why you would like to spend some time at FACT
